Good and Bad

Sakthi shared more information about the software they had created.

“Aunty, what you’ve provided now are just small events… When we input a lot of things that have happened in our lives, we will discover even more information… Don’t you think this software is unnecessary for what you just mentioned?”

“Yes… When the other children abandoned them, everyone in the village said it was because of the trouble they caused to my husband… But they couldn’t bear to see him in that situation, so I urged him to help them because of the duty to educate and protect him.”

“Hmm… In their lives, the past life account isn’t significant, that’s why they experience both good and bad in this life for the good and bad they did! But not everyone has it that way! That’s why this software exists… Have you gained complete confidence in this, aunty? Only then can your mistakes be forgiven, and your heart will believe that what you’ve received now is punishment for that. It will bring clarity on how to manage it… and you will be able to think about what to do next and what not to do!”

Sakthi’s words brought clarity to Sugandhi. However, she had questions she wanted to ask. She asked Sakthi as well.

“Why do all get punished when they make mistakes?”

“I’ve researched this and found two reasons… One is that their past life merits protect them from punishment… The other is that those who are causing trouble are causing pain to someone else, and their sins hold them back in that realm… That’s why they receive punishment at that moment! They get entangled in their karma… When their merit runs out, they will also experience the consequences of their sins!”

“Oh,” Sugandhi felt overwhelmed.

“Aunty, there’s nothing for you to be shocked about! You are just taking back what you have given… Good and bad cannot be given by others!”

“I’m confused about one thing, Sakthi… Why did God create some people with the intellect to commit mistakes and some with the intellect to do good?”

Sakthi laughed.

“Aunty… God gives the intellect to commit mistakes to you… and gives the intellect to do good to those who do good, without any bias… Everyone takes birth with qualities according to their deeds! Your karma speaks there too!”

“I don’t understand… Many people in this world live with various problems, while some are peaceful… what about that?”

“That too is based on their karma… They take birth according to the good and bad they have done!”

“…”

“Okay, aunty… I have one question!! In this world, do those who commit mistakes do so without knowing that they are doing wrong?”

“Some do it without knowing!”

“Okay… Do those few also continue to do wrong, knowing or not?”

“No!!”

“But do those who continue to do wrong do so unknowingly?”

“I don’t know, Sakthi!!”

“How ironic, aunty! Do you not realize? Like the police taking bribes on the road, politicians robbing welfare schemes, nurses in government hospitals, ward boys—everywhere, money is the main focus… Do they not know that all this is wrong??”

Sugandhi was silent, seemingly lost for words in response to Sakthi’s questions.

“Surely, we can say that they lack knowledge about their sins. But then why do they take all that without anyone knowing? Why do they try to present themselves as good people to the outside world? If they think what they do is just, shouldn’t they be doing everything in a way that everyone knows? It seems to me that they use their intelligence only in hiding this! I don’t blame God for not giving them good sense!!” Sakthi finished her thoughts with a bit of irritation.

Every word Sakthi spoke was a true reality!! Sugandhi thought of her husband. What about him? He does things without realizing they are wrong. Even if he knows and understands, he still hides it from her, doesn’t he!!! God has given him everything well, yet his intellect is confused!

Sugandhi felt a strong desire to understand what he might have done in his past life.

Sakthi wrote down the significant events of her life or those that she spoke of. Two hours passed. She felt exhausted.

Sakthi brought food and called her brother and her friend to introduce them to her. After speaking with Sugandhi for a little while, everyone left the room, telling her to eat and rest. Before going to bed, she tried calling again on her cellphone. This time, no one picked up. She fell asleep from exhaustion.

Sakthi uploaded the events she had provided onto the computer. The response was ready in an hour. It seemed like Sugandhi also woke up from her sleep.

Sakthi seated her and began to read out her past life events to her.

In her previous life, Sugandhi was a man. (For our convenience, let’s call him Raman.)

From a young age, Raman grew up without any hardships. He had a strong attachment to his mother but felt resentment towards his father, so he wasn’t very fond of him. Unable to see his good qualities, he lived without considering his words as anything meaningful. All his conversations were with his mother. His father longed for his son’s affection. (That’s why in this life, she lacked the affection of her father!)

Raman’s father’s friend arranged a girl for him. Since they were very close to his father, they didn’t face him or speak much! (I understood that my maternal uncle’s mother was not a help to him.)

After marriage, he had two children with much love for them. He loved his wife, but she couldn’t act against what he said. He treated her almost like a slave. Due to her love for her husband, she endured everything, living with the thought that her husband and children were the most important.

Raman foolishly started a family with another woman. He fulfilled only the material needs for his family, forgetting his wife and children.

His wife became distressed. Unable to accept his betrayal, she became sick and was unable to eat or sleep. (Sugandhi realized that her pain was also due to her own actions!)

His wife’s death affected him deeply. His heart sank when he realized that his wife was the light of his life and regretted his mistakes. He took care to ensure that the children did not feel the loss of their mother. He taught his friends, who were similarly confused like him, to respect women and also took good care of his aged parents and his wife’s parents.

After reading all of this, Sakthi looked at Sugandhi.

She understood the answer to why this happened to her. She received what she had given! That was the reason.

If a seed is sown, can a weed not grow? What you plant is what you can reap! Her mind became clear. Without feeling like speaking, she got up and went to the room before her.

As soon as Sugandhi left, Sakthi’s brother came to her room.

“Sakthi, what happened?”

Sakthi explained the conversation that had occurred that day.

“Our project was a success… You have developed well!”

“Then, can we even say that this is because of what we studied in psychology and the two years spent in refining case studies? Then, this app development might end up being meaningless!”

While both were talking, Sugandhi ran in, forgetting her situation with a cellphone in her hand.

“Aunty, please be patient… Your body isn’t normal yet!!”

“Okay, Sakthi,” Sugandhi sat down after making a fuss.

“When my daughter called your number back… As soon as I picked up, she started crying saying, ‘I can’t stay without you!’ When she asked where I was… I must have been a fool not to have understood my little one!!!” Sugandhi said, her eyes brimming with tears.

Sugandhi spoke about her daughter and son with the two women. It made Sakthi happy to see her recognize her mistake. She looked at her friend and said softly, “I told you so!!” with a gentle smile.

A clarity appeared on Sugandhi’s face. That was a relief for Sakthi.

Sugandhi and Sakthi

After sending off Sakthi’s husband and children half an hour later, they expressed their thanks to Sakthi and her brother before taking Sugandhi with them.
