White Erukku Pullaiyar

Sulochana and Sathyamoorthi were blessed with a baby boy. During the naming ceremony, amidst a gathering of family and friends, they were discussing what name to give the child. At that moment, a voice from the entrance proclaimed, “The child should be named ‘Arthanari.’ With that name, he will bring people like us under one umbrella, elevate the livelihood of those like us, earn us respect in society, and perform great service for the community.” After delivering this message, the voice disappeared. When they went to check at the entrance, they found it was a transgender woman.

Sulochana’s in-laws also insisted that the child should be named “Arthanari.” However, Sulochana and Sathyamoorthi stated that they would proceed with the name only if they received approval from their family deity and personal deity. Accordingly, blessings were sought, and the child was named “Arthanari.”

Vinayagar Chaturthi Festival

In Sathyamoorthi’s family, the Vinayagar Chaturthi festival is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm. As part of the preparations, the house is thoroughly cleaned and whitewashed, and all the deity images in the house are taken down, dusted, adorned with sandal paste and vermillion, and placed back in their designated spots. During one such festival, five-year-old Arthanari helped his grandmother in the puja room for the first time. The family’s main idol, the White Erukku Vinayagar, was carefully kept inside a glass box for protection. Without removing the idol from the box, the grandmother applied sandal paste and vermillion on top of the glass box before stepping away from the puja area.

Seeing this, Arthanari couldn’t contain himself. Later that evening, after his grandparents had gone out for their evening walk, he quietly opened the glass box where the Vinayagar idol was kept. He spent a few moments talking to the idol, then carefully cleaned it, applied sandal paste and vermillion, and placed it back. However, a question arose in his mind: how could the Vinayagar breathe while being confined inside the glass box? Acting on this thought, he turned the idol to face the back of the box, leaving the lid slightly open. Since the box was opened from the rear, it was not noticeable to anyone. The box appeared just as securely closed as before, ensuring it looked well-protected. After applying the sandal paste and vermillion, as Arthanari touched the Vinayagar, he felt an undeniable surge of energy course through his body, leaving him deeply aware of the powerful sensation.

Every time Arthanari touched the Vinayagar

Every time during Vinayagar Chaturthi, as Arthanari applied sandal paste and vermillion to the idol, he continued to feel that wave of energy. In their household, the idol would only be taken out of the glass box and placed prominently for worship during special pujas. On one such occasion, when Arthanari was in eighth grade, preparations for a puja were underway. Arthanari himself took the idol out, participated in the puja, and, as always, placed it back in its spot, leaving the glass box slightly open without raising any suspicion. He completed his schooling, went to college, studied well, and secured a good job. His income began to increase steadily. Around the same time, his family decided it was time to arrange his marriage, and they started making the necessary preparations. As another Vinayagar Chaturthi approached, the usual cleaning and preparations were carried out in their home, including organizing the puja room. That evening, taking advantage of a moment when no one was around, Arthanari, as always, applied sandal paste and vermillion to the idol with his own hands. However, this time, the wave of energy he felt lasted longer than ever before, and he couldn’t recover from it. Something deeply disturbed him. Slowly, he took the idol out and started touching it at different spots. Then, he noticed a lid-like structure at the bottom of the idol. Opening it, he found a rolled-up piece of paper. He took it out and began to read.

Vasuki’s Letter

He began to read the letter he had taken from the White Erukku Vinayagar. It started with “Written by Vasuki” and went on to convey that the purpose of the letter was to uplift the transgender community, bring them together under one umbrella, elevate their livelihoods, and ensure they received proper respect in society. It further emphasized the need for education, employment, and vocational opportunities for them. It also stated that her unfulfilled desire was that in the future generations of her family, the male child who finds this letter will be the one born to fulfill her dream. Recognizing that this letter had come into his hands, Arthanari understood that it was his responsibility to accomplish this task. He resolved firmly to dedicate himself to working for the welfare and upliftment of the transgender community.

Arthanari’s Conversation with Grandfather

That evening, Arthanari told his grandfather that he had no interest in marriage. Without revealing that he intended to uplift the transgender community, he merely stated that he wanted to work for the betterment of society. His grandfather, confused, stared at him in surprise. At that moment, Arthanari’s father arrived, observed the situation, and asked Arthanari what help he needed. Arthanari replied, “Give me all the property you have saved for me so far, and only then will I tell you what I intend to do for society.” His father promised to give him everything he owned, and Arthanari extracted the same promise from his grandfather as well. He then gently declared, “I am going to dedicate myself to uplifting the transgender community and bringing them together under one umbrella.” Both his father and grandfather were taken aback by his words. Shortly afterward, Arthanari left the terrace and went about his work. Meanwhile, Sathyamoorthi and his father decided to meet a sage the next day to gain insights into the concept of karma and seek further guidance.

Meeting the Sage

Arthanari’s parents, grandparents, and all four of them went to meet the sage. The sage explained to Arthanari’s grandfather, “Your father’s sister, Vasuki, carried a deep-seated desire throughout her life to help and uplift the transgender community. This thought constantly occupied her mind, but your grandparents did not support her wishes. During her school days, she would pass by a small shop near the school gate, where a transgender man and woman worked. Seeing them sparked her determination to do something for them. She would often take food items from home and give them to the two, returning home happy and content. Each time she gave them something, the two would bless her, which brought her immense joy. As time passed, Vasuki’s yearning to support the transgender community only grew stronger. However, the mental strain caused her severe stress and nervous exhaustion, eventually confining her to bed. Unable to attend school, she remained at home. The two transgender individuals who hadn’t seen her for a while came to visit her at home, but your grandparents refused to let them in. Disappointed, they left. That night, Vasuki, in great distress, wrote a letter with her own hands. She placed the letter inside the compartment at the base of the White Erukku Vinayagar idol, which she always kept with her, and concealed it there. No one knew about this. She often said, ‘No matter how many generations pass, this White Erukku Vinayagar must always remain the centerpiece of our family’s puja room—that is my only wish.’ Your family has respected her wish to this day, ensuring the idol remains central to all prayers and rituals. On the same night she wrote the letter, Vasuki passed away, clinging tightly to the White Erukku Vinayagar. In honor of her devotion to the idol, and to fulfill her request, your family placed the Vinayagar inside a glass box for safekeeping. To this day, it remains the central deity in your puja room. Whenever there is a special occasion in your home, the Vinayagar is always the central figure in the puja—that is the tradition.”

As the sage narrated the events, Arthanari arrived at the scene unnoticed, took the letter he had in his hand, handed it to the sage, and bowed in reverence. Upon seeing the letter and realizing that everything the sage had said was written in it, everyone was astonished. At that moment, the sage…The sage continued, “When a human is born into this world, they are born with certain duties to fulfill. It is the responsibility of parents to help their child carry out those duties. They must not impose their own desires upon the child.” At the same time, the sage blessed Arthanari, saying, “He will succeed in this mission,” and sent him off with his blessings. Following this, Arthanari began to dedicate himself wholeheartedly to his mission.

The Beginning of Arthanari’s Actions

Arthanari began to work on his mission with great freedom and enthusiasm. At the same time, his father and grandfather provided their full support. Gradually, he purchased a piece of land, and with the assistance of foreign supporters, which came to him with ease, he began to build his vision. He also released a message on his mobile platform, stating that he was dedicating himself to uplifting the transgender community. He invited people who wished to join him in this mission, mentioning that any contributions they made would go to the “Arthanari Trust.” The message explained that the funds collected would be used to build shelters, provide food and clothing to the transgender community according to their needs, and support their aspirations. For children who wished to study, educational opportunities would be provided; for those seeking jobs, assistance in securing employment would be offered; and for those interested in pursuing vocational trades, necessary arrangements would be made. The message resonated, and many people began to participate in the initiative. Gradually, the Arthanari Trust grew, and the funds were used to construct buildings. One by one, members of the transgender community were welcomed and provided housing. They were given all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable life. Slowly but steadily, their lives began to flourish, filled with newfound happiness and dignity.

Grandfather’s Wish

As per Arthanari’s grandfather’s wish, the parents, siblings, relatives, and extended family of the transgender individuals were brought together to meet them. The grandfather wished to show those grieving parents, who believed that only their family experienced such births, that many children like theirs are born in this country. He wanted them to realize that these children are blessed by the divine and that the divine protects them in one way or another. This realization would bring them peace and comfort. Accordingly, the families were invited, and arrangements for their food and accommodation were made. Over time, the lives of the transgender individuals became joyful. They engaged in various vocational trades, creating handmade goods that sold at good prices. The income generated from these sales was added to the trust. Visitors from foreign countries frequently came to Arthanari Street to visit the Arthanari Shelter, where they mingled freely with the residents and spent time with them. Everyone began living happily and contentedly.

Arthanari as a Parental Figure

All the transgender individuals began to live as freely as they would under the care of a loving parent, and because of this, they all affectionately called Arthanari “Ammayappa” (Mother-Father). This brought great peace of mind to his parents and grandparents, who no longer worried about him. The transgender community took it upon themselves to care for Arthanari and constantly prayed for his well-being, which gave his family immense comfort. At the same time, Arthanari’s family spent most of their time at the Arthanari Shelter, becoming an integral part of his mission.

The Arrival of the White Erukku Vinayagar at the Shelter

Arthanari carefully placed the ancestral letter written by Vasuki back inside the compartment of the White Erukku Vinayagar idol, just as it had been before, and brought the idol, which had been confined in a glass box in his home, to the Arthanari Shelter to be prominently displayed. From that point onward, the Vinayagar Chaturthi festival was celebrated grandly every year at the shelter, bringing joy to everyone. Only with divine blessings can such accomplishments be realized within a family, and it was due to the grace of the White Erukku Vinayagar that Vasuki’s wishes and dreams were fulfilled through Arthanari. When one acts selflessly with public welfare in mind, coupled with divine grace, any determined effort can achieve swift success. Vasuki’s desires, safeguarded through generations by the divine presence of the White Erukku Vinayagar, culminated in their fulfillment when Arthanari was born into the family and carried out her vision. Arthanari’s efforts brought about a societal transformation, elevating the transgender community, earning them respect and dignity, and enriching their lives.

The Karmas of This Story

In this story, Budha Karma (Mercurial Karma) has been a predominant force in the family across generations. When individuals born with Budha Karma set their minds on accomplishing a particular task, they remain relentless until it is completed. However, if they are unable to fulfill their goal within their lifetime, the same Budha Karma manifests in subsequent generations, compelling them to complete the unfinished task. This phenomenon, deeply rooted in ancestral continuity, aligns with the remarkable discoveries of DNA inheritance.

His predominant Budha Karma, combined with its positive vibrations, allowed him to achieve remarkable success in his mission effortlessly.
